sold - one of a kind ‘when a house becomes a home’ hanging

each & every piece of these wall hangings are cut, cleaned, sanded, designed, fired twice, & glazed by hand. the pieces are all fairly chunky & glazed with beautiful, full range colors; some with crackles, some with speckles & all unique. they are strung on strong leather cord & come ready to hang. all of my glazes are non-toxic.

about the pieces: i visited david ireland’s house recently here in SF (it’s a museum now) & it solidified so much of my feelings surrounding us buying our first (falling down) home 7 years ago in butchertown. it was a powerful tribute to art being life & life being art: my philosophy encapsulated. i then stumbled upon this quote in “elmet” that i’m in the midst of reading right now. “waiting is what a true house is about. making it ours, making it settle, pinning it & us to the seasons, to the months & to the years.” —fiona mozley
