these wall hanging plaques are tending to deal with my ongoing search in reckoning with my mother’s unexpected death.  a lot of different feelings surrounding art & my practice & where i’m heading keep showing up in this processing.  these feel fluid, special, nodding to my confusion as well as needing all the ties that bind us together to continue to show up.  these also feel calming to make & there is an ease in working this way too.  

each plaque wall hanging piece is cut, cleaned, measured, sanded, carved, painted with original designs, fired twice, & glazed by hand. the pieces are glazed with a beautiful gloss. they are strung on strong leather cord & come ready to hang. all of my glazes & underglazes are non-toxic.
