horizontal, ceramic 'black magic' moon wall hanging

this moon phases wall hanging is elongated & horizontal; it hangs approximately 5 feet across on pretty, supple tan goat leather. each & every piece of these wall hangings are cut, cleaned, dried, fired, sanded, & glazed three times. the moon pieces are all fairly chunky & are glazed with a beautiful matte burnished steel glaze - sometimes these fires to a gorgeous metallic sheen that is visible.  each piece & glaze will vary slightly as they are all handmade & sometimes specks & other magical glaze bits give variation to the pieces.  all of my materials are non-toxic. these are part of my ongoing moon wall hanging series. i call this my black magic hanging because i often think of how some of the “witches” from salem & elsewhere who were killed were wise healers using herbs & special incantations & all the natural world they knew of had to offer them to make people well... & how black magic should be considered special & extraordinary & wondrous, rather than the evil intimations it often conjures... this quote could be interpreted in different ways, but i choose to think it’s in the grip of black magic that wondrous & remarkable things can happen!
